We opened on a single rule: only sell fabric we would sew with ourselves, and publish the numbers that let you check.
Our story
We opened in 2026 because we had spent years on the other side of the counter, buying cloth that turned out to be nothing like the photograph. Nobody would tell us the weight. Nobody would name the mill. You found out what you had bought at the fitting, which is the worst possible moment.
So this shop is built the other way round. We publish weight, width, fibre content and origin on every single listing, because those four numbers decide whether a fabric can do what your design asks of it. We buy directly from mills in Como, Lyon, Abeokuta and Hangzhou rather than through importers, which is why our premium cloth sits below imported equivalents.
And we will talk you out of the expensive bolt when the cheaper one is right. We are new, and we know exactly what we are asking of you in trusting a new shop with a wedding. The only way to earn that is to be right about the cloth, every time.
To put genuinely good cloth within reach of the people who sew in this city — honestly described, fairly priced, and explained by someone who knows what it will do.

The numbers on the label are true, the origin is real, and if a fabric will not do what you need, we will say so before you buy it.

We took the space opposite Bali Hotel, built the shelving, and filled it a bolt at a time rather than all at once.

Relationships opened with mills and artisan houses in Italy, France, India, Ghana and China. Buying direct is what keeps our premium cloth below imported equivalents.

We publish the numbers, we name the origin, and we tell you when a fabric will not do what you want it to. A sale made on a false promise costs us the next ten.
We are a family business with no interest in becoming a warehouse. We would rather stock four hundred fabrics we can speak about than four thousand we cannot.
We would rather someone came back in ten years than spent more today. Every decision in this shop is made on that timescale.
Our artisan adire and kente come from cooperatives we buy from directly and pay promptly. Fine cloth should not depend on somebody being underpaid for it.
We buy directly from mills and artisan houses we have visited. No middlemen, which is why our premium fabrics are priced below imported equivalents.
Weight, width, fibre content and origin published for everything we sell. If a shop will not tell you the GSM, ask yourself why.
We will talk you out of the expensive bolt when the cheaper one is right for your design. A gown that disappoints at the fitting costs us far more than one sale.
